Description

A generous, approachable sherry-matured single malt that blends whisky aged in three different sherry casks – Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel. Oloroso brings the dried-fruit backbone, while the PX and Moscatel add layers of sweetness, all lifted by Kavalan's signature tropical fruit. A great introduction to sherried whisky and an easy crowd-pleaser.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Ripe berries, grapes and citrus peel wrapped in toffee and caramel.
Palate: Warm and smooth – dried fruits, dates, candied nuts, baking spice and chocolate-dipped cherry.
Finish: Medium length with brown sugar, candied ginger and a touch of apricot jam.

Kavalan has been making single malt in Taiwan's Yilan County since 2005. Its whisky has become some of the most awarded in the world, collecting World's Best Single Malt and Whisky of the Year titles. The warm subtropical climate helps the spirit draw flavour from the oak quickly.
