Description

Concertmaster is first matured in American oak, then finished in Portuguese ruby, tawny and vintage port barriques. The port finish layers red fruit, warm spice and a mellow smoothness over Kavalan's tropical-fruit core – a rich, festive dram that's easy to love.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Honey, vanilla, candy floss and tropical fruit, with red grapes, raisins and clove.
Palate: Rich and sweet – baked apple, red berries, cinnamon and brown sugar, with a backbone of warm oak.
Finish: Medium length, with dried fruit, vanilla cream and gentle spice.

Kavalan has been making single malt in Taiwan's Yilan County since 2005. Its whisky has become some of the most awarded in the world, collecting World's Best Single Malt and Whisky of the Year titles.
